The Union of Ontario Indians Intergovernmental Affairs department is committed to the protection of aboriginal and treaty rights, ensuring access to land and resources, and supporting the political goals, values and aspirations of the Anishinabek Nation.The Intergovernmental Affairs Department is committed to providing to the Office of the Grand Council Chief, Executive and Chiefs and Departments with:
- Strategic analysis, planning and advice
- Support on policy development and related activities
- Liaison and co-ordination with Political, Legal, Administration and Program departments
