First Nation Child Welfare Advocacy Program

This accredited Certificate Program is offered at Anishinabek Educational Institute.
START DATE: September 2017.
Overview: The post diploma program prepares individuals for the role of advocate or band representative on behalf of a First Nation, chile and/or family in relation to child protection matters.
Provisions under the Child and Family Service Act state taht it is an Aboriginal child’s right to have a family’s Aboriginal culture and heritage take into account when advocating for the child.
